Dag 9 Utan vind mera bränsle
Påfyllning i Cartagena
Vindarna är inte riktigt med oss. Alldeles för lite vind har redan kostat oss mer bensin än vi har för resten av resan. Det blir därför ett nödstopp på en timme i Cartagena, för påfyllning av både bensin och vatten. En välbehövlig paus på land inför det som väntar oss.
Resans hittills värsta natt… Enorma vågor och hård vind åt fel håll fick allt i båten att rulla runt. Varenda pryl som inte satt fastkilad flög runt under däck och vi kastades fram och tillbaka från ena till andra sidan. Det är inte längre bara jag som är sjösjuk ombord. Och det här är bara början. Enligt väderprognosen väntar oss minst två liknande dygn. Kapten har fått ett satellit-sms från Al Awda som just nu ligger bakom oss att dom vill mötas ute till havs imorgon. Varför vet vi inte…
Day 9 – No wind More fuel
Cartagena for fuel and water
The winds are not with us. Having too little wind has already cost us more gas than we have for the rest of the trip. There will therefore be an emergency stop of one hour in Cartagena, for filling up with both gasoline and water. A much needed break on land knowing whats ahead of us.
The journeys worst night so far… Huge waves and hard winds in the wrong direction got everything in the boat to roll around. Everything that wasn’t tied down was flying around under the deck and we were thrown back and forth from one side to the other. It’s no longer just me who’s seasick on board. And this is just the beginning. According to the weather forecast, we expect at least two similar days.
The captain has received a satellite message from Al Awda who is currently behind us that they want to meet out at sea. Why we do not know …
